Herbal essences
The aura of a plant should be appreciated, respected and taken care of. Herbs give us their scent, aroma and healing power.
Farmer’s wife Christa is a qualified herbal practitioner. My daily work on our farm is driven by the love of nature and can help to rebuild the thread between human beings, animal and plants. My knowledge is there to help others to use the healing powers of nature to improve health and well being.
The scent of herbs is carried across the farm by the wind
Round leaved mint & others awaken the senses, hollyhock flowers crown/top-off the herbal water. Vitamins, minerals, taste and colours influence our whole being.
The meadows of our Vitalhof Tunelhof still offer a variety of herbal treasures Nature provides us with limited ingredients according to the seasons. We can learn to treasure natures rhythm.
Tell me and I will forget
Show me and I will remember
Let me do it and I will be able to
Over centuries herbal plants where believed to be vital in day to day life. They were essential for people’s diet and were used to produce household items like detergents and soaps as well as a variety of beauty products. In addition most medicines were based on herbal ingredients. However, as chemical and artificially produced ingredients became more prevalent the use of herbal ingredients declined.
Everything grows.....when we need it, where we need it and maybe because we need it. Wild herbs retain higher levels of vital ingredients compared to vegetable grown in our gardens.
Bundles of resources are available to us by nature. Let’s be tempted and use the wild herbs available to us with appreciation to broaden our nutrition.
